Tight Schedule? Here is How to Build a 5-Minute Workout

When it comes to getting results, the most successful exercise programs are the ones that you can keep doing. It doesn't matter how awesome your plan is if you stop after a week.

That is why it is important to have a plan A and a plan B.

Plan A is the ideal. When you have plenty of time and motivation to do an awesome, full body workout, complete with warm-up, cool-down, post-workout shake, etc.

But when time is limited, don't give yourself the excuse that you are "too busy". Have a plan B. Have a 5 minute workout option.

How to workout when you have a busy schedule

When you need to get a workout in quick, there are a few things to consider:

  • Keep it simple. You don't need to have 50 different exercise to get a great workout. Just pick a few and do them in a circuit (one set of each exercise). You can do more than one round if you have time.
  • Hit different body parts. Make sure that you are not doing more than one exercise per movement/body part. So if you are doing push ups, then you do not need to do any bench press, TRX flys, etc.
  • Use bodyweight exercises as much as possible. By limiting equipment, you will save time with set up, take down, and transitions.
