Born and raised in the San Jose area, Kyle has always counted sports and fitness as a big part of life. His favorite sport to play growing up was basketball, and after playing for years, he ended up coaching.
After graduating high school, Kyle found a passion in health and fitness and decided to pursue a degree in kinesiology with an emphasis in exercise science. After college, Kyle continued to coach basketball, but also began his career in fitness.
Now, as a fitness coach at Mint, he loves helping people improve their physical and mental health. There is nothing more rewarding than seeing someone else succeed. As he says, "It puts a smile on my face every day."
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology with concentration in Exercise Science from San Jose State University.
Certifications include:
- American Council on Exercise: Certified Personal Trainer
- Broad knowledge of the human body, muscle function, programming strategy, and exercise science.
- Functional Movement Screen: Level 1 Certified
- Developed by two physical therapists, the functional movement screen is a way of assessing and grading movement to find the weak link for someone, therefore establishing the greatest risk for injury.
Passion
Kyle is passionate about helping others to live their best and healthiest lives. He is also a big fan of coffee and the Golden State Warriors. Go Dubs!
