A Bay Area native, Andrew grew up in San Jose. From an early age, he always had a love for sports, which carried on through his collegiate years. In high school, Andrew was usually one of the smaller football players on the team. Weight training became a means to get stronger and faster to receive play time. As a collegiate rower at UC Davis, that same work ethic developed into a great love and appreciation for health and fitness. This led to obtaining his personal training certification.
Over the years, this same passion brought him to becoming a World Gym owner. Since then, Andrew has been involved in developing corporate wellness programs for major tech firms and started multiple small businesses.
After years away from the fitness industry, Andrew noticed his body falling apart. This led to him re-focusing efforts of self-care and practicing what he once preached. Getting back into shape reignited his passion and desire to help others improve their overall health, which brought Andrew back into fitness.
Andrew attended the University of California, Davis and received a B.S. in Biology. After graduating, he received his certification in personal training from ACSM and has been a trainer for decades.
For the last 12 years, Andrew has also been coaching youth and high school football, teaching the fundamentals of the sport.
