Must Do Exercises to Avoid Knee and Back Pain

Fitness

The older you get, the more you realize just how important injury prevention is when it comes to your workouts.

Yes, we all want to get lean, have more muscle definition, and look good in our clothes. But if you get hurt while working out, you not only will delay (and backtrack) on those goals, you will have to deal with the pain and limitations that come from injury.

So when it comes to exercise, you need to make sure you are incorporating exercises that keep you healthy, strong, and safe for the long run.

What to do to avoid injury

One of the most important parts of injury prevention is stability. If you are not stable, then you are automatically increasing your risk for hurting yourself.

Stability comes in many forms, but the 3 big areas of your body that need the most focus when it comes to training stability are:

1) Hip stability

2) Core stability

3) Shoulder stability

Today we will be focusing on hip stability, because this is the one that is most often neglected.

We all love core work, but how often are you training your hips to keep your knees and back safe?

Most people think that knee issues (and back issues) are because the knee and back have a problem. But this is rarely the case.

The reason your knees and back have problems is because they are overworked from picking up the slack from other areas of your body. They are the “catch-all” for poor movement and stability.

So, if you want to prevent injury (and get more from your workouts) then you need to focus on stability training. And that is what our head fitness coach, Brad, will be focused on today:

Start incorporating these exercises into your routine and you will see the difference almost immediately.

Of course, there is more to it than just these exercises. Depending on what your specific challenges are (and past injuries) there may be other things that are needed such as mobility or soft tissue work.

That is why, if you really want to get the best results, we recommend you come in and talk with Brad yourself.

Right now we are registering people into our 28-Day Kickstart Program where Brad will sit down with you, learn about your goals, your health history, and your concerns, and then design a program built specifically with you in mind.

We want you to have the exact exercises that you need to get the results you want, while also having a coach to keep you accountable to your plan.

That is why, in this program, you will get:
