Joanne knew something was changing.
Her weight was creeping up. She was getting weaker. She had recently started cholesterol medication. And one of the things that bothered her most was realizing she couldn’t play with her grandkids in the way she wanted to.
“I just thought, what’s going on? Can I do something about this?”

Joanne decided the answer was yes.
Getting Back to the Things She Loves
When Joanne started at Mint Condition Fitness, she was also dealing with a problem that had followed her for years.
“I had a three-year struggle with plantar fasciitis in my right foot.”
Today, that problem is completely gone.
“I don’t even think about it.”
But the improvements have gone well beyond her foot. Joanne has become stronger, more confident, and especially proud of how much her balance has improved.
“My balance is outstanding. I can jump rope with my grandkids. I can walk on skinny fences with them.”
For Joanne, those are the results that matter most. She wanted to be able to stay active, keep up with her grandkids, and continue saying yes to the things she enjoys doing.
The Difference Accountability Makes
Joanne and her family had belonged to an athletic club for years, so going to a gym wasn’t new to her.
What was new was having a coach personally responsible for helping her improve.
“I didn’t know the difference between a fitness center like Mint Condition and an athletic club. It just made me realize that the accountability of the trainers here is directly to me.”
That accountability has become one of her favorite parts of training.
“I really like the accountability. When I get here, it’s friendly, but it’s no nonsense.”
Instead of simply having access to equipment, Joanne has a coach paying attention to what she is doing, helping her progress, and making sure she continues challenging herself.
“It’s not about having machines kind of work you. I have to do it myself.”
And that approach is working.
In just six months, Joanne has seen dramatic changes in how she feels and what her body is capable of doing.
Her Family Has Noticed Too
Perhaps one of Joanne’s favorite parts of her progress is that she isn’t the only one noticing the difference.
Her children see it too.
“If you have young adult children, they watch you like a hawk. They are not going to like that you can’t be the person that you once were.”
Today, Joanne’s kids are seeing their mom become stronger and more capable again.
“My kids are so happy with the change they’ve seen in me.”
