Member Spotlight: David M. – From Stiff and Injured to Strong and Confident

When David first came to Mint Condition Fitness, he already had an exercise routine, but it wasn’t working any more.

“I started to feel like I was getting stiff and kind of bound up,” David said. “And then injuries started to set in.”

One of the most serious setbacks came when he ruptured his rotator cuff.

“It just hurt like crazy,” he explained. “It took months to rehab it.”

Not long after recovering from that injury, another problem appeared.

Hip pain.

At that point, David knew it was time to seek professional help.

Addressing the Root of the Problem

David came into Mint dealing with both shoulder pain and hip pain. The goal wasn’t just to exercise…it was to rebuild strength and mobility in a way that actually supported his body.

And within a few months, things began to change.

“After probably three months of working out, my shoulder pain and my hip pain was completely gone,” David shared.

That kind of transformation doesn’t come from random workouts.

It comes from a program designed to help the body move better, build strength in the right areas, and restore balance throughout the system.

Training That Supports Real Life

One of the things David quickly realized was that the training at Mint wasn’t just about working hard in the gym.

It was about building a body that functions well in everyday life.

“So I feel like it’s a much more suitable workout for day-to-day life,” he said.

For David, that matters because he loves to stay active.

Two of his favorite activities are skiing and golf, and both require strength, balance, and mobility to perform well.

And since starting his training, he’s noticed the difference.

“In terms of golf, I feel like I hit the ball more solid,” he said. “I feel like I’m driving the ball further than I have in a long time.”

That improvement comes from more than just strength.

“I think the flexibility training, balance, all of that has really helped.”

The Power of Accountability

Another key part of David’s success has been working with a coach.

While many people try to stay consistent on their own, having someone there to guide and support you makes a big difference.

“One of the things I like about having a coach is the accountability,” David said.

“When you’re on your own and you’re tired one day, you kind of blow it off. But having a coach keeps you more focused.”

That structure helps ensure that progress continues, even on the days when motivation might be lower.

A Positive Experience from Start to Finish

Today, David feels stronger, pain-free, and more capable in the activities he enjoys most.

And his experience at Mint has been a positive one.

“I’ve really enjoyed my time at Mint,” he said. “I think it could help anybody.”

David, we’re grateful to be part of your journey and excited to see you continue to stay active, strong, and performing at a high level on the golf course and the ski slopes.
